Dinto Solar Marks Third Anniversary of 5 GW Longgang HJT Manufacturing Facility
January 2026 marks the third anniversary of construction at Dinto Solar’s 5 GW Longgang heterojunction (HJT) manufacturing facility. Over the past three years, the site has developed into a fully integrated production facility for HJT photovoltaic cells and modules, becoming a key contributor to regional industrial development and a core pillar of Dinto Solar’s clean energy strategy.
From project planning and construction to volume production and technology iteration, the Longgang facility has progressed through clearly defined stages, delivering measurable results at each step.
From Project Launch to Scaled Manufacturing
Designated as a Zhejiang Provincial Special Major Industrial Project, the Longgang manufacturing facility, located in Longgang, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province in East China, represents a total investment of RMB 5.2 billion and covers approximately 23 hectares. The facility is designed with an annual HJT manufacturing capacity of 5 GW, supported by continuous technology input from Dinto Solar’s Nanchang R&D center to ensure stable, high-quality output.
In September 2023, the first high-efficiency HJT cell was produced at the facility, achieving the milestone of contract signing, construction, and production within the same year. This timeline highlighted both effective coordination between central and local stakeholders and Dinto Solar’s project execution capabilities. Over the following three years, the facility advanced steadily through capacity ramp-up, process stabilization, and quality control optimization.
Digitalized Production at Scale
As capacity ramp-up progressed and production yield stabilized above 99%, the benefits of scale manufacturing became evident. All production steps—from wafers to finished modules—are coordinated through integrated digital manufacturing systems.
The Longgang facility can flexibly adjust production specifications based on customer demand, while full-process traceability enables real-time monitoring from raw materials to finished products. This data-driven approach improves responsiveness to market requirements while maintaining consistency in quality and delivery.
A Clear Path for HJT Industrialization
While heterojunction solar technology has long been discussed within the industry, the Longgang facility has demonstrated its commercial viability through industrial-scale deployment.
In 2021, Dinto Solar’s independently developed copper-metallized heterojunction (C-HJT) technology passed authoritative technical evaluation and was recognized as reaching an international advanced level. Supported by the industry’s first 300 MW C-HJT mass-production line, the Longgang facility enabled Dinto Solar to become the first company in China to master and scale this technology in commercial production.
Product Performance as Proof of Technology
Over the past three years, module power output and efficiency produced at the Longgang facility have continued to increase. The G12-132 module champion module has exceeded 760 W, with efficiency reaching 24.47%, supported by multiple core patents and system-level innovation across materials, process engineering, and design.
These products are now deployed across a wide range of environments, including high-temperature and high-humidity regions in Southeast Asia, desert climates in the Middle East, and temperate conditions in Europe, demonstrating strong reliability and environmental adaptability.
Quality Management as a Core Standard
The Longgang facility operates under a comprehensive quality management system covering R&D, production, and testing. It has obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, among others.
All modules undergo rigorous testing and meet the access requirements of major global markets, with certifications including TÜV SÜD, IEC, and CE. Dinto Solar’s HJT modules are backed by a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty, providing long-term assurance for customers and reinforcing confidence in products manufactured at the Longgang facility.
Low-Carbon Manufacturing in Practice
Sustainability is integrated into daily operations at the Longgang facility. The use of intelligent equipment and digital systems enables refined energy management, while low-temperature HJT processes and lower-carbon materials significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon intensity per module.
In 2025, the facility was recognized as a Wenzhou Green and Low-Carbon Factory, reflecting Dinto Solar’s approach to embedding sustainability into manufacturing practices rather than treating it as a standalone objective.
Workforce and Operational Stability
The Longgang facility employs more than 330 professionals across manufacturing, engineering, and operations, with over 30% holding bachelor’s degrees or above. The team combines experienced industry specialists with early-career engineers, supporting both technical continuity and innovation.
With an annual employee turnover rate below 5%, the facility maintains a stable workforce that underpins consistent operational performance and long-term development.
Next Phase of Development
After three years of operation, the Longgang facility has established a solid manufacturing and technology foundation. Going forward, Dinto Solar plans to:
- Advance the mass application of next-generation HJT technologies to further improve efficiency and reliability
- Deepen intelligent manufacturing systems to optimize quality control and production efficiency through data-driven management
- Expand application scenarios by delivering customized product solutions for different climates and installation conditions
Dinto Solar continues to view sustained technology advancement and tangible customer value as the basis of long-term competitiveness. As the global energy transition accelerates, the Longgang manufacturing facility will continue to supply reliable photovoltaic products to support clean energy deployment worldwide.
